PEPPER LOVE

Hi friends! I know it's been FOREVER since my last post. Wishing I could keep up my blogging at a steadier pace but life gets busy and you just gotta roll with it. The last couple of months my boy and I have both been busy working and for those of you that missed the announcement 14 weeks ago on Instagram...WE HAVE A FUR BABY!!! Her name is Pepper and she's perfect.

The day we found the love of our lives. She was so grey from the newspaper that lined her crate at the pet store it took four baths to get her to the white fur puppy she is.
Her ears when they were still kinda floppy...

her eyes just kill us...we can't and won't ever get enough.

Since the arrival of our perfect angel life for the two of us has changed ALOT. We both feel as though we've been given a glimpse into parenthood and it has been the most rewarding experience. I always felt that Boa would be a great dad, but now I know without an ounce of doubt that he'll be an amazing one. The boy loves his girl!

We had talked about wanting a dog for at least four years and when we walked into one of our local pet shops (they only take in rescue animals) this past mother's day we instantly fell in love. She and her sister were the last two of a litter of eight. She's Australian shepherd, German shepherd, and cattle dog. We asked if we could play with her and that was that. She was more cautious and not quite as excitable compared to her sister, but was definitely still friendly with us. Boa and I stood in the store for two plus hours spelling out the pros/cons of getting a dog at this point in our lives and ultimately decided that we would figure out the details as they came because we wouldn't be able to leave without her. Luckily the two of us are always on the same page when it comes to making big life decisions and we decided that we would never really be ready so we should just make the leap. She's now about 7 1/2 months old and she's a ton of fun, so energetic, happy, loving, and an extremely smart little monkey. We are beyond happy with our little family!

Pepper was spayed last Saturday and she's recovering beautifully. We took her to SNP LA for the procedure and we strongly recommend it to anyone with a new puppy. They specialize in spaying/neutering (if you look them up you'll see how many raving reviews there are), they cost a fraction of the price that a vet will charge, and you'll be supporting an awesome non-profit that's been helping animals all over Los Angeles since 2007. We can't wait for her giant cone to come off August 9th! Until then our little battering ram continues to keep us on our toes :)

xoxo Jenny Boa Pepper
